Next comes the detailed clean. We vacuum with HEPA filters, wipe down every surface, clean windows and frames, scrub floors, and go through cabinets and drawers. This is where we remove the fine dust that regular cleaning misses. We also check for safety hazards—stray nails, glass shards, anything that could hurt someone.
Finally, we do a walkthrough with you. If something’s not right, we handle it before we leave. You’re not chasing us down later or settling for “good enough.”

Every post-construction cleaning includes dust and debris removal from all surfaces—walls, ceilings, floors, fixtures, and anything else the crew touched. We clean inside and outside of cabinets, wipe down appliances, and scrub baseboards and trim.
Windows get cleaned inside and out, including tracks and sills where dust piles up. We vacuum and mop all floors, paying extra attention to grout lines and corners. Light fixtures, ceiling fans, and vents get wiped down or vacuumed depending on what they need.

You need HEPA-filtered vacuums to trap those particles. Regular vacuums just blow them back into the air. You also need to clean in stages—rough clean first to remove big debris, then detailed clean to get the fine dust, then a final pass to make sure nothing was missed.
There’s also a safety component. We’re looking for nails, screws, glass shards, loose fixtures—anything that could hurt someone. That’s not part of a typical cleaning. It’s why post-renovation cleaning takes longer and requires different equipment and training.

After a renovation, your home has already been exposed to paint fumes, adhesives, and other chemicals. The last thing you need is harsh cleaning products adding to that. Our cleaners are effective without being aggressive, and they don’t leave behind residue or strong smells.
If you have specific allergies or sensitivities, let us know. We can adjust what we use. Most clients appreciate that we default to safer products without them having to ask. It’s just how we work.
Make sure the contractors are completely done. We can’t clean around active work, and if they’re still touching up paint or installing fixtures, we’ll just have to come back.
Clear out any personal items or furniture you don’t want us moving. If there are areas you want us to focus on or avoid, let us know ahead of time. The more access we have, the more thorough we can be.
If possible, turn on the HVAC system a day before we arrive. That helps circulate and settle dust so we can capture it. And if there are any fragile or valuable items in the space, either remove them or point them out when we do the walkthrough. We’re careful, but it’s better to be safe.
It varies based on the size of the space, the scope of the renovation, and how much cleaning is needed. A small bathroom remodel will cost less than a full kitchen or whole-house renovation. We price based on the actual work, not a flat rate that doesn’t account for what you need.
We offer free estimates. We’ll come look at the space, talk through what needs to happen, and give you a clear number. No hidden fees, no surprises. Most clients in Newton Centre are used to quality work costing what it costs—they just want to know upfront.
If budget is a concern, we can talk through options. Maybe you handle some of the rough cleaning yourself and we focus on the detailed work. Or we prioritize high-traffic areas first. We’re flexible, but we won’t cut corners that compromise the result.
We can, but it’s not ideal. If they’re still sanding, painting, or cutting, we’re just going to have to re-clean whatever they touch. You end up paying twice for the same work.
The best time to call us is after the final walkthrough with your contractor, once they’ve packed up and left. That way we’re cleaning once, thoroughly, and you’re not dealing with new dust or debris after we’re done.
If timing is tight and you need us to start while they’re wrapping up minor tasks, we can work around them. But expect that we might need to come back for a final pass once they’re completely out. We’ll talk through the logistics during the estimate so there’s no confusion.
