A clean driveway doesn’t just look better. It lasts longer because you’re removing the contaminants that break down concrete and cause cracks. Same goes for your siding, your deck, and your walkways.
When you remove mold and mildew buildup, you’re also removing slip hazards. That matters if you have kids running around or guests walking up to your front door. It’s not just cosmetic.
And if you’re thinking about selling, curb appeal isn’t optional. A clean exterior can add thousands to your perceived home value before a buyer even steps inside. First impressions happen in the driveway, not the living room.
Pine Lake homes deal with four seasons of weather. That means pollen in spring, humidity in summer, leaf stains in fall, and freeze-thaw cycles all winter. Your surfaces take a beating. Pressure washing resets that damage before it becomes permanent.
Clarita’s Cleaning is a family-run business that’s been serving Pine Lake and the surrounding area for more than ten years. We’re not a franchise. We’re local, and we treat your property the way we’d treat our own.
We use eco-friendly, non-toxic products because we know you care about your kids, your pets, and your landscaping. Our equipment is professional-grade, our team is trained, and we’re fully insured. That’s not something every crew can say.
Pine Lake homeowners know us for being thorough. We don’t miss corners, and we don’t rush jobs. If something needs a second pass, we do it. That’s how we’ve built a reputation here.
First, we come out and give you a free estimate. We’ll walk your property, look at what needs cleaning, and talk through what method works best—pressure washing for hard surfaces like driveways and sidewalks, or soft washing for siding and roofs.
Soft washing uses low pressure and specialized detergent blends. It’s safer for vinyl, wood, and painted surfaces, and it kills organic growth at the root instead of just blasting it off. That means it stays cleaner longer.
On the day of service, we protect your landscaping, pre-treat stubborn stains, and clean each surface with the right pressure and technique. We’re not using the same setting on your deck that we use on your driveway. Different materials need different approaches.
After we’re done, we do a walkthrough with you. If something doesn’t look right, we fix it before we leave. No callbacks, no surprises.

We handle driveways, sidewalks, patios, decks, fences, siding, brick, stone, and concrete. If it’s outside and it’s dirty, we can probably clean it. That includes graffiti removal if you’ve got a commercial property dealing with vandalism.
Deck and fence restoration is a big one in Pine Lake. Wood takes a beating from moisture and UV exposure, and it shows. We clean, prep, and can coordinate staining or sealing if that’s part of your plan. A restored deck doesn’t just look better—it lasts years longer.
For homes with vinyl siding, we use soft washing to remove algae, mold, and dirt without damaging the material. High pressure can crack siding or force water behind it. We’ve seen it happen with DIY jobs and cheaper crews. We don’t take that risk.
Massachusetts weather means your property is constantly exposed to moisture, pollen, and organic growth. Regular cleaning isn’t just about appearance—it’s about preventing long-term damage. Most homes benefit from an annual cleaning, though high-traffic or shaded areas might need attention twice a year.
Pressure washing uses high-pressure water to remove dirt, grime, mold, and stains from hard surfaces. Power washing does the same thing but uses heated water. The heat helps break down grease, oil, and sticky residues faster.
For most residential jobs in Pine Lake, pressure washing is what you need. Driveways, sidewalks, patios—all of that gets handled with cold water and the right pressure settings. Power washing is more common in commercial or industrial settings where you’re dealing with heavy grease buildup.
We adjust pressure based on the surface. Concrete can handle higher PSI. Wood, vinyl, and painted surfaces need lower pressure or soft washing to avoid damage. A lot of DIY equipment doesn’t give you that control, which is why we see homeowners accidentally strip paint or gouge wood when they rent a machine and go at it themselves.
Once a year is the standard recommendation for most Pine Lake homes. If your property has heavy tree cover, sits in a shaded area, or gets a lot of foot traffic, you might want to clean high-use areas twice a year.
Driveways collect oil stains, tire marks, dirt, and organic growth. Left alone, that buildup degrades the concrete and leads to cracks and surface erosion. Cleaning it annually prevents that damage and keeps your driveway looking newer longer.
Walkways are a safety issue. Mold and mildew make surfaces slippery, especially after rain. If you’ve got kids, elderly family members, or regular guests, keeping walkways clean isn’t optional. One slip can turn into a serious injury, and it’s an easy thing to prevent.
Yes. Soft washing is specifically designed for surfaces that can’t handle high pressure. It uses low-pressure water combined with eco-friendly detergents that kill mold, mildew, algae, and bacteria at the source.
High-pressure washing can crack vinyl siding, force water behind it, or strip paint. It can also damage roof shingles and void warranties. Soft washing avoids all of that while still delivering a deep clean that lasts longer than pressure washing alone.
The detergents we use are biodegradable and safe for landscaping, pets, and kids. We’re not spraying harsh chemicals that run off into your yard. The cleaning solution does the work, and the low pressure rinses it away without damaging your home’s exterior. Most siding and roofing manufacturers actually recommend soft washing over high-pressure methods.
Most of the time, yes. Fresh oil stains come up easier than old ones, but even set-in stains can be significantly lightened or removed with the right pre-treatment and pressure washing technique.
We use degreasers designed for concrete that break down the oil before we hit it with high pressure. For older stains that have soaked deep into porous concrete, we might not get it 100% out, but we can usually make a noticeable improvement.
If you’ve got a newer stain, the sooner you have it treated, the better the results. Oil that’s been sitting for months or years bonds with the concrete and becomes much harder to extract. But even in those cases, we’ve had good success getting driveways to look significantly cleaner than they did before.
Not necessarily. As long as we have access to the areas that need cleaning and a water source, we can work while you’re at work or running errands. A lot of our Pine Lake clients prefer it that way.
We do recommend being available for the initial walkthrough so we can confirm exactly what you want cleaned and answer any questions. And we’ll do a final walkthrough with you after the job if you’re around, just to make sure everything meets your expectations.
If you’re not going to be home, we’ll take before and after photos and follow up with you once the job’s done. We’re also fully insured, so you don’t have to worry about liability while we’re on your property. We’ve been doing this for over ten years—we know how to work independently and respect your home.
Not if it’s done correctly. Wood is softer than concrete, so it requires lower pressure and a different nozzle angle. We adjust our settings based on the type of wood, its condition, and whether it’s been previously sealed or stained.
Using too much pressure or the wrong technique can splinter wood, raise the grain, or strip away stain and sealant. That’s a common mistake with DIY jobs or inexperienced crews. We’ve restored plenty of decks and fences that were damaged by improper cleaning.
After we clean your deck or fence, the wood is prepped and ready for staining or sealing if that’s part of your plan. A lot of Pine Lake homeowners schedule those services together because the timing makes sense. Clean wood absorbs stain better, and a fresh seal protects your investment for years.
